Did'nt Jacob Ilg go undefeated last year untill the State Tourney, I think he was in the 8th grade last year?

Jacob Ilg was undefeated last year for the Middle School and has moved on to the High School He will be Wrestling varsity this year.

The boy he lost to in the state tourney was from Campbell Co. I don't remember his name.

Newport has looked very good for a new team. They have a good sized varsity squad and a nice size JH program. Their wrestlers still have a lot to learn in the way of technique, but they have great potential. I think Coach Middleton has been working with them on the headlock toss, so watch for it.

Coach Middleton is doing a great job with those kides,in time the technique will come around and with the numbers they have I think they will compete in the near future.
