Oldham County at Anderson County on Friday evening (weather permitting!)

Tough matchup for the young Colonels, especially if star PG Kerry Smith cannot play... The big kid, Humphries, is apparently done for the year for AC, but Anderson will still be heavily favored...

Thoughts?

Game will be heard live (or by archive) on the Pegasus Sports Network (http://www.pegasussportsky.com) and can be heard by clicking the Oldham County or Anderson County logos...

Whats Oldham done so far in the year? I don't know much about them.

They're struggling this year, in part due to a new coach installing his system, and in part because they are very young. And with Smith out - and others hobbled - they have struggled. Oldham started 0-5 and is now 4-11. They've lost four straight and have scored 46 points or fewer in their last five games.

I think the team has some serious growth potential - particularly over the next two years - as Oldham has some athletes, and definitely some talent. It's just a difficult combination to deal with - youth, new coach, and injuries.

If the kids keep their heads up and don't let these losses in the regular season get them down, Oldham could make noise in the post-season, though they'd be a longshot to win the region. Anderson will be a very tough challenge on the road - although Oldham only lost to Shelby by 13 after trailing by just one at halftime in that matchup. (of course, Oldham-Shelby is a rivalry with a long, rich history...)

Thank you Colonel Mike. This new coach came from Henry, correct?
