These two play in the AIT. Your thoughts and predictions.

Glasgow is a decent team but Covcath's depth should be too much.

I think the Colonels by by 10+ in this one.

To me at least, this is the biggest grudge match of all time!

Freedom Hall, Louisville, Ky first round game of the 1968 Sweet Sixteen! Glasgow 74 CovCath 70. Glasgow went on to easily win the Sweet Sixteen that year and IMO this 1968 CovCath team was the best team CovCath ever had.

Randy Noll, Jimmy Cooper, Joe Voskuhl, John Von Lehman just to name a few! Some 40 odd years later, I am still upset about it and to the best of my knowledge this is the first meeting of these two schools since that game so long ago in 1968.

Go Colonels, win this game for the Class of 1968!

I too remember that game. That was a great State tourney. Remember the Lee Co team that beat Danville, then GRC and lost to Secena in OT on Saturday morning. Would loved to have seen Cov Cath and Lee Co in the finals.

All tourney team Larry Stamper, Lee Co.:thumb:

Lee Co beat Danville 76/58 then beat Clark Co. 54/52 before they lost to Lou Seneca 57/53.

While you might have thought it was a great tourney (and it really was) I would get banned from BGP's if I typed what I really thought of the sweet sixteen that year (68) and the year before (67)! :irked: :taz:

Where Stamper got his scholly to UK. How long have you been going to the state tourney's? Going this year?

Back to the thread, I too look for Cov Cath to advance in this one.

Been to a few and was sitting on the bench in that Glasgow game!

Don't think so this year! Have an important event coming up in Jan. 2011 and I have got to save some money up for it!
