These are the 2 returning teams that played for the regional crown last year with Clay winning. Who will win this year and why?

Clay County - For Whom The Belle Tolls!!!

Harlan County- Heather Maggard - Double double trouble.:taz:

Dont count South Laurel out

Clay County MUST be the favorite. No way around it, the Lady Tigers are solid.

South Laurel, as always, will be tough. They have to be in the discussion year in and year out.

Harlan should be tough, but just lost to North Laurel (at Harlan).

North Laurel is 7-0 and with the 53-51 win over Harlan, are where Coach Bowling thought they would be. North Laurel may be a darkhorse, but they are looking pretty good so far.

I agree. North has some very good players. They are long and get into the passing lanes very well. They forced 31 turnovers against the Lady Bears. Harlan should have won the game but you cant win if you dont play defense! Not to take away from North. They were ready to play!

North's schedule has been weak until the Harlan Co. game. In time we will see if they are like previous North teams.

Don't let Bell Co. sneak up on you!!!

Tamara Crawford, a transfer from Leslie County, is the glue that Coach Bowling needed for his team. She is a very agressive defensive player and can light it up as well. IMO, a true leader on the court being only a sophomore. The future looks bright for Bowling and company...
