In 6A, for example, if StX & Simon Kenton both win 2nd round games, they will meet in a 3rd round game. Both are #1 seeds. So who gets the home game? What is the determining factor?

If the seeds are the same, the odd district hosts in the third round.

 

The odd region (East moves West) hosts in the fourth round regardless of seed.

Next year, the EVEN district will host the third round if identical seeds play. It matches the year (odd year=odd district hosts; even year= even district hosts).

From the way it is set up on the KHSAA scoreboard, if this game happens, it will happen at St. X this year and truthfully it would be a much better to hold this game at St. X than at SK.

 

While SK has a nice field, the stands are no where near as big nor is the parking as plentiful as what they have at St. X!

 

But I would think both teams need to think about their games on the 13th before worrying about the 20th!
