There were also I don't know how many Dixie offside penalties - there were so many I lost count. They just looked kind of out of it.

 

As far as "going across the middle" slant play, Haggerty and Bruns have the speed and ability for exacty that play but it's not called that much. MANY TIMES receivers are wide open with arms outstretched like "Here I am - THROW ME THE BALL!" I agree, it certainly could be an very effective tool if used.

 

Dixie lost some very very valuable talented defensive players with Steven and Ryan Zumdick being out for the season. They are awesome players and kids.

 

With playoffs starting, it will be up to the players to rise to the occasion and play like they want it. They know what they need to do. They just need to DO IT.:thumb:
