With 0:18 left in the first qtr, SR WR Sam Howard scores on a pass from JR QB Chandler Sears (they didn't mention the distance). Z. Williams boots the PAT, and the Purples lead 14-0.

Words can't describe how stunned I would be if Barren County was within 30 points of BG, let alone winning this game.

Z. Williams catches a 45 yd TD pass from Sears and boots the PAT! It is Z. Williams' first TD of the season. BGHS 21, Barren Co 0. 11:41 left in the second qtr.

L. Anderson catches a 33 yd TD pass from Sears. Z. Williams hits the PAT, and the Purples now lead 28-0! By the way, Sam Howard's TD reception was from 20 yards.

Z. Williams snags another from Sears, this one from 15 yds! Sears' four TD passes already has tied the school record for one game! Z. Williams also boots another PAT, and the Purples are up 35-0.

Catching up after my bath....YIPPPEEE Purples!! Way to go guys!

I hope the weather does not get any worse....would love this game to go without delay!!

SO DB Michael Bailey returns a fumble 36 yards for a score. Z. Williams boots the PAT, and BGHS now leads 42-0!

That's the fifth different defensive player to score a TD for the Purples this season!

L. Anderson 51 pass from Sears! Z. Williams PAT, and the Purples are now up 49-0. Sears sets a new school record with five TD passes!

The best thing for both teams in this mess would be for BG to get that running clock and get home.

EDIT: In the time it took me to post that BG did!

Halftime: BGHS 49, Barren Co 0.

Pardon the presumption, but the 5A Region One Playoffs look like this:

(4) Barren Co at (1) Christian Co

(3) Madisonville at (2) Warren Central

(3) Grayson Co at (2) Owensboro

(4) Hopkinsville at (1) BGHS

By the way, 'Fire and other Dragon fans: great job in securing the #2 seed last night against Greenwood in what turned out to be a real heart stopper!:thumb::clap:

Unofficially, Sears is 10 of 12 for about 230 yards and five scores!

'Twas one heck of a game.

End of three: BGHS 49-0.

Done!
