Congratulations LESLIE on a great year and career at Notre Dame. This is a well deserved honor for you and couldn't go to a better [B]person[/b] and a wonderful volleyball player!!!

Agree with the selection of her, Kaiser as coach, Penrod as player in 10th, but what did the coach at Highlands do to deserve the honor? Seems it should have gone to Campbell Co. coach, or for that matter what about the coach from Silver Grove. According to the KHSAA website they won 14 matches this year, which has to be a school record.

 

Really perplexed about Highlands coach as COY?? What did she do special? She basically had a verteran team back, losing only 1 player to graduation. I realize she lost a starter to injury but didn't have nearly as strong a schedule as CC nor NCC.

CC and NCC both played in Fall Classic and LIVT. IMO Leah Ballinger or Vicki Fleissner would have made a lot more sense in 10th.

Wow! I would agree that Leah and Vicki would have made a lot more sense in the 10th. HHS lost 2 starters to graduation.

As far as the 9th region goes, IMO it could have gone to Maureen, Andrea, or Jessi. All very deserving!

I picked this one from the beginning of the season. Leslie is not only a great player, but, a great kid as well. It is great to see a player that is playing a not so glamorous position win POY!:dancingpa
