billwilliams70 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 There were plenty of great matchups this weekend inside the top 10, and the result is a new look near the top of our rankings. Much of the debate centered around which team would be the nations new No. 2 team. For this week, it will be Don Bosco Prep out of Ramsey, N.J. The Ironmen, who have wins over Concord (Calif.) De La Salle and Prattville (Ala.), won out over Loganville (Ga.) Grayson, Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes and Miami (Fla.) Central who round out the top five. The top 10 also welcomes the new No. 1 team in California - Sacramento Grant. The Pacers take over the No. 1 spot out West with a signature win over Bellevue (Wash.). Grant has not allowed a point so far this season. http://highschool.rivals.com/viewrankhs.asp?ra_key=646 Later.
Voice of Reason Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 One loss kills you. Elder went from #2 to #48 with the loss to St. X. Highlands is at #15. St. Ignatius is at #12. Highlands needs St. X. to win out and give St. Ignatius their first loss in the state championship. Highlands should get into the top 10 if they win all their games and that happens.
