Penalty flags were everywhere tonight, as the guys in the Greenwood pressbox told me they would be. Meade County had 13 penalties and Greenwood nine or 10.

 

Game took for-e-ver, especially the third quarter. Meade County had a first-and-10 on Greenwood's 25 and was penalized three straight times to back the ball up to Meade County's 41.

 

Neither team could hold on to the ball, and Meade County couldn't take advantage of Greenwood's fumbles when it needed to.

Greenwood has been sloppy and disjointed for the majority of this season, but IMO they're still going to win the district. Though Central Hardin is looking more and more like a challenge.
