Congraulations to the Falcons as they move to 4-0 on the season. National Guard Defensive Player of the game is Troy Wyatt and Dillion Vickery carries the ball 10 times for 130 yards and 1 td to claim the National Guard Offensive Player of the Game. Congrulations to these two fine young men. Monroe County has 492 yards of total offense on the night. Very big crowd tonight at Darrell Carter Stadium to cheer the Falcons on for the win. :thumb:

Pretty good game tonight by the Falcons although we still have a lot to improve on, like DE play/containment and need to show a lot more grit at some key positions.

Monroe had their first turnover of the season tonight (finished the game with 2 TO's) and they came on some good drives that you hate to see end with TO's, I don't expect that to become a trend.

On a side note, maybe with the drumming Danville took we can move up a little in the polls (at least past 1-3 Danville), Monroe is currently the only undefeated team in the Region…

Great game for the Falcons. Monroe had 3 To's with two fumbles and one interception. I agree with SEMPERFIFALCON about it not becoming a habit and also about a little respect. Monroe has beaten some good ball clubs, Their schedule is not light at no means, first three games on the road all against 3a schools, then home against a 5a. Thats ok though, please everyone overlook these Falcons because when they roll into town you will never forget the night you played them. This is an extremely hard hittng bunch of kids with a rematch with the FC Falcons in their sights!!!

 

Imo some of the Falcons need a heart check to go with the ego check!! I am a proud parent of two Falcons and love them all, I hope Coach P. looks at film and sees where they are lacking...which isn't much but a little fine tuning, and makes his team all they can be just like he always has.

On a brighter note, how about the new Falcon Band? I never imagined I would enjoy a Monroe Co. Band halftime show, but I did tonight. I also enjoyed the fact that they stuck around and was still playing after the final horn had sounded. In years past they would leave after halftime...

I was talking to a band MOM after the game and was telling her how blowed away we all were after their performance!!! Hats off to the Falcon Band, great job of getting everyone fired up for a really good football game!!!

Sounds great to me!! I hear you have a really good pizza parlor just off post. Would really enjoy making the trip to post and seeing the area. As far as green, :thumb:!!! They lost tonight to a good Larue squad and I am sure it was one dimensional play. Can't get to the big game unless you are diverse. Remeber thats just my opinion, for what it is worth!

Neil Wilson is a great kid. He has all the makings of a Division one athlete on both sides of the ball, and has a younger brother that starts at tight end as a true freshman. The Wilson's should be very proud to have turned out two really good athletes and really good young men that are an asset to this football team as well as to the community!!:thumb:
