Regardless of who you cheer for, tomorrow has significance throughout the state and country. Does your home team have something special planned for this day which we , adults and players will always remember?

Don't know. I hope so. I would think so. 9/11 still sends chills down my spine...I was in the air nearing Cleveland when it all happened, and we were lucky not to get diverted to another airport. I'll never forget getting "swept" out of the Hopkins airport in Cleveland by security just moments after getting off the plane...had to walk out of the airport property because the place was completely cordoned off from the rest of the world.

 

Cleveland was in a state of near-panic because the locals thought the plane that crashed in PA had been headed to Cleveland... (strange sense of self-importance if you ask me...what did they think the terrorists were targeting in Cleveland, the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame"????)

 

Walked to an adjacent hotel restaurant just in time to see the first of the towers fall...

 

I was one of the fortunate ones who managed to get a rental car...had to drive all the way back from Cleveland to Louisville...
