I think that Sawyer suprised a lot of people this past summer. He is a strong young man that plays a very physical style of basketball. Great rebounder, runs the floor very well and improving post skills.

 

He should have a very strong sophomore year at Owen County.

The 2010 class is interesting, looks to be deep, but lacks a 4 or 5 star player. Is Etown's Washington the best player in this class, I'm sure alot of people would say no but if he goes to USC I dont see anybody else touching a school of that caliber. I suppose that Scott Co Guyn has a decent shot at a big time school and Johnson from Cov-Holmes. It hurts this class that Pittman is not a D1 player.

 

Josh Sewell goes D1 to Miami of Ohio. This kid will get a great education to go along with his basketball.

In 2010 you have Sewell, Washington, and Guyn already committed to D-1 schools. Dakota Euton has a lot of D-1 offers. 2 guys that I expect could get big D-1 offers in the spring are Jackson and R. Johnson. I think both could do something similar to what Vee Sanford did last year.

 

As for 2012, out of the ones I have seen I am very impressed with Beckham, Manning, Ivey, Foster, and Rowan. I think all those guys are D-1 calibur at this point. I have yet to see Terry play so I can't comment on him.

I would put a plug in for the point guard from Somerset(DJ Townsend), started as a Freshman down there in the 12th Region, avg 12 pts per game, rebounded well, and solid defender. Had a outstanding summer both AAU and HS. I have seen him play against several players on this list and I am sure if you ask some of them what they think, they would fit him in the top 20. I personally think that the 12th region get a lack of respect. Keep an eye open this year, he is a very talented player.

 

There is also a guard from Henry Clay, (Wesley?) that played with Hoop Dreams, that you might want to consider when compiling a list.

 

Adam Wing from Rowan County another freshman starter that had a solid season and made top 30 at Blue Chip.
