What does Henry County need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

New Castle is one of those communities that is small and produces some good quality talent. Now that the basketball coach has moved onto Oldham County, maybe this basketball coach can work with the football coach and the both of them can provide support to players who are talented enough to play both sports, but in the past that may have been discouraged because of the coaches. I hate seeing kids that are talented enough to help both programs but sometimes are put in the crossfire and made to choose due to coaches. I know there are some studs on the football field that could definitely boost the inside presence, and outside quickness on the basketball court. It will be interesting to see if they somehow can make this work there with new blood coming in from the outside to lead the basketball program.

I believe that 9 or more football players were also basketball players or vise/versa from what I have seen. Seems pretty decent, might want to check where you get your info. Both sports may not have always worked well together, but have done much better the last 3-4 years. HC doesn't have many "studs" (evident by the number of kids getting offers coming out of high school), just some average kids who work pretty hard. Last year had only 1 kid over 6'3 on the football team, was also the center on the basketball team. Not sure who else you are referring to? Good luck in Basketball cats!!
