With Ricardo, Elijah, J.J., Kevon, et. al. eyeing a Rupp Arena repeat, the prospects for the Colonels making a run at the regional crown are not great. Thelan and Welbrock will provide the muscle, rebounds and scoring inside. Conley is athletic, can jump out of the gym and has an aggressive edge to him. I look for Conley to be a factor. The big question remains at guard. Wilson, Pauly and Mascinot are great kids but they will have to make a quantum leap forward to rise to the level of Nestheide, Kennedy, Tierney, Jacobs, Bovard, Bondick or Shover. A successful year might be 15-20 wins as opposed to knocking off the Bulldogs.

The best news for CCH is that they wouldn't face Holmes before the regional finals.

 

I think you'll see the '09 / '10 Colonels return to doing what they do best under Coach L - play (and win) as a team.
