cards1b21 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Heard the bats came alive for Middlesboro and Pittman pitched a dandy. Anyone see the game?
Commander 25 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Wow! Middlesboro really playing pretty good right now.
big impact Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 big impact, you go to the game? Yes, and It looked like Corbin wanted to go home as soon as they showed up.
4chs Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Yes, and It looked like Corbin wanted to go home as soon as they showed up. I know that Corbin has battled the injury bug(Smith-arm, Duncum-arm, Salmons-hand, Hendrickson-ankle), but this Redhound squad has been an enigma so far this year.:idunno: They had better come around quickly or Whitley will give them an early exit from the postseason.

Pittman looked like it bothered him a little, but he threw it very well! Corbin didn't even show up last night.:puke:
cards1b21 Posted May 13, 2009 Author Posted May 13, 2009 That's all we need- Pittman to be getting healthy at just the right time. Imagine if they lose to Bell in the District championship and someone has to face Middlesboro in the first round of region with Pittman on the mound. Talk about worst case scenario.

BTW he pitched 6 out of 7 innings.

Someone will more than likely have to face him or Greer in the first round...........not much of a reward for the district winner.
IM4THEHOUNDS Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Corey Sewell and Caleb Watkins mustered the only hits of the night. Watkins had a homerun but no one was on the base at the time so it scored only one run. Guess that is just how it goes. Baseball is like that, up and down. Pittman is an excellent pitcher and will give fits to any team he is up against.
