Corbin 5 Middlesboro 1

Heard Middlesboro looked pretty shaky in the field. Can anyone that was there confirm this?

Freshman Trace Vorbeck got the win for Corbin, pitching 5 shutout innings while giving up only 1 hit by Middlesboro. Ben House picked up the save for Corbin yielding 1 one in 2 innings of work.

Corbin is going to be solid, especially when 2 of their best hitters, Josh Smith and Blake Hendrickson, recover from the ankle injuries they suffered at the state basketball tournament.

I believe that #11 Ben Jones picked up the save.

Good win for the hounds this early in the season.
