Adia Mathies named Miss Basketball

 

Mathies, a 5-foot-9 forward who joined the Iroquois varsity team as a sixth-grader, will be presented the award at 10 a.m. Wednesday during a ceremony at Iroquois.

 

Mathies averaged 17.1 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.9 steals and 3.8 assists as Iroquois finished 33-1 and beat Elizabethtown 55-47 in overtime in the state final on March 14 in Bowling Green.
