Rebels got solid pitching out of Neeley and Cox, but couldn't seem to get the bats going. Connor had solid pitching, and I was really impressed with the Shuttleworth(sp) kid he is very talented. Connor also had a nice two run shot in the first inning.

It's nice to finally get outside, the weather however was horrible for baseball on Saturday! It rained the entire 6 innings, and the pitchers mound was definitely an issue for both teams for a couple of innings! Not sure how many hits that Conner had, but except for Tyler Brake's 1st inning bomb not a whole lot of noise from the bats. The pitchers got some good work, and was particularly interested in new comer Brennen Russell. He could add some quality innings to an already good staff of pitchers!

The first two innings were rough for both pitchers. Neeley came off the mound after the first and had at least two inches of mud caked on his cleats. Conners starter also looked like he was having a difficult time with the mud.
