RICHMOND — The Lady Indians tried to simulate the kind of full-court pressure they would face in the opening round of the 11th Region Tournament in the final few practices before a showdown with Lexington Catholic.

 

But, they simply weren’t able to.

 

And they simply weren’t able to handle the press once they stepped onto the court Monday at McBrayer Arena.

 

Lexington Catholic forced 20 first-half turnovers, built a 24-point lead, then held off a late comeback to pick up a 62-45 win over Madison Central. The Lady Knights got 34 points off turnovers and, despite shooting just 37 percent, eliminated the Lady Indians (21-10) from the 11th Region Tournament for the second-straight season.
