Knox Central 89 Lynn Camp 71

Featured Replies

Cody Miller had 39.

Lynn Camp led by as much as five in the first ahlf and trailed by three at halftime.

The Wildcats shot eight-of-33 from the floor in the second half and began the fourth quarter with an 0-for-13 effort.

Sounds like the Cats got tired or Knox Central turned up the defense? How did Mitchell do for the Camp? He needed to have a big game for the Cats to win IMO?

Lynn Camp has shot themselves out of games all year.

Nice win KC :thumb:

Live by the three and die by the three as the old saying goes. Sounds like the Wildcats could not get a shot to fall late in the game.

That has happened to them alot I just don't understand that philosophy.

Out of the 13 shots they missed to begin the fourth quarter, I would say nine of those were underneath lay-ups that rimmed out and they were fouled on many of them. Lynn Camp hit 17-of-22 shots from the free throw line in the fourth quarter alone. This was the most disclipined played game I've seen the Campers play in a LONG time. They did not shoot themselves out of this game. You need to have been there tonight before you say something like that.

Mitchell had 13 and Bargo had 22.

Bubba, Knox Central turned up the 'D'. Pressed a lot of started bodying Bargo in the second half. It was a GREAT effort by both teams. If the Campers would have played like this the entire season, they would have won 17 to 18 games and gotten the No. 2 seed. But you know the old saying, would have, should have ...

I figured Coach Pennington would have a solid gameplan for this game. I think he is one of the up and coming coaches in the region. He plays and coaches an exciting style with lots of freedom for his players. It would not surprise me at all to see a larger school within the region to become interested in his services very soon. Knox is avery solid team and could win the region riding the horse known as Cody Miller.

I agree Bubba.

It was a step back this season after they finally got in the top 10 in the preseason. Bubba said it was top five talent.

Perhaps....I was mistaken....I can admit when I am wrong. Plus I thought David Sizemore would be playing and I did not anticipate an knee injury to Cody Mobley either. Those two players would have made a little difference HDE. Even you with you crystal ball could not have known that. An Orator I am not.

Did Lynn Camp do something bad to you in a prior life or something?

I agree with you Bubba. If David Sizemore would have played and Mobley wouldn't have been hurt, they could have been top five material.

They were also not even rated in the top 10 of last year's Cats Pause preview and reached the final four of the 13th Region Tourney. Just giving you a hard time, HDE.

Bubba's basketball preview will hit the stands in Early October next year...lol

I always wanted to write my own top ten list of teams and players. What is the pay at the HDE? It has to be close to the Herald and the Courier.

Bubba, You can always submit your basketball top 10 to me. I'll print it.
