The state championship, runner up, and two final fours that the 8th region have belong to a team thats not even in the region anymore.

 

With consolidation and other demographic issues, that's happened a lot — and probably will some more in the future. The 9th Region's only SW16 winner in that time frame is now in the 8th Region. Two of the 12th Region's three titles now reside in the 13th Region.
