GC coach Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 How strong is Oldham? I haven't got a chance to see them yet. I saw Spencer in the NAS tournament and wasn't overly impressed, but could of been a off week. It still looks like SK then maybe Anderson. After that alot of pairity in the 8th

I saw Spencer in the NAS tournament and wasn't overly impressed, but could of been a off week. It still looks like SK then maybe Anderson. After that alot of pairity in the 8th SK is on a plane all by itself. Anderson is going to have to make some strides to beat the Lady Pioneers. Oldham appears to be developing rapidly now under new coach Larry Just. They're 4-2 since the new year, with their only losses to powerhouse Nelson County and a 5 point loss that they gave away to Anderson County after leading the entire game... I think Oldham (who has already beaten South Oldham and had a narrow loss to Shelby) is in that crowded third tier of teams that are perhaps just a hair behind Anderson...including Carroll County, South Oldham, Oldham County, Shelby County, Spencer County, Gallatin County, and perhaps Owen County. Emily Lape has developed into a consistent double-double threat every night, and Audri Beaudrie is definitely one of the top 5 players in the region. How far the Lady Colonels go, though, will probably be determined by how their bench improves.
