Total domination for the Eagles, Model had been talking all year about how they would beat Southern, and it turns out that Southern has pounded them twice. Good win for Coach Buttry's squad. Word is he may be interested in the Allen Co. job if it comes open, therefore long time Buttry assistant Duane Cress may be the new sherriff in town. Southern is playing well right now, and I believe it just may continue...Good luck Eagles!

RICHMOND — The Patriots weren’t able to contain Madison Southern’s big men — Joey Wallace and Jimmy Freel — the first time the two long-time district rivals met this season.

 

And the second time around, they still couldn’t find a way to slow down the talented duo.

 

Freel had a game-high 23 points and Wallace added 11 points as the Eagles (8-5) rolled to an easy 70-42 win over Model Tuesday in Richmond. Carrington Roberts also added 14 points as Southern swept the regular-season series from the Patriots (3-10).
