We are missing football players and hopefully we will continue to miss them for a couple of more weeks.:ylsuper:

I do look forward to their return and when they do our depth will be seasoned to say the least. I was proud of the way we hung in the game and battled back. East went on a run after we went up 22-11 to tie it up at the half at 29. East scored 21 points in the 3rd quarter to create a lead that we chipped away at, but couldn't quite catch up to. I am encouraged though, I didn't know what to expect short handed without our best player in Jordan Aumiller and I am pleased as we will get better in the meantime without the football players which I believe will make us even better in January and February.

Cory Jones and Hunter Glasscock both had good games and I was impressed by the shooting of Trevor Austin.

Jordan Redd of East Jessamine is a fine player and I expect to hear more from him as the season goes on and as he gets older. He is only a sophomore but he appeared to embrace the role of team leader and that impressed me.

East guards shot the ball very well over thr Rebels zone tonight. I was impressed with Boyle's hustle tonight. Trevor Austin has a very good shot. I agree that the football players will help, but from what I am now hearing there will not be that many football players coming out for basketball.

Heard that Aumiller is not playing anyway?

Thats what I was told last night.

just average with out him I think, with out their football kids it will could be a tough year

Wow! I was afraid that this might happen. I have seen what our girls program is going through and I was afraid that it would happen to our boys. I went and watched our middle school boys play Danville the other night and they were terrible. We do not have much help coming up for the next 3 years. Thank goodness we have a good football team again with Coach French!

After the 9th grade of this year, I worry about it. Even if the football players don't come out, I still think we will be competitive this year and for the next 3 years. It will hurt us more this year if they don't play, but there is still talent at the high school, just not a whole lot after this year's current crop of freshmen. I expect at least 1 trip to Rupp Arena before 2012.
