There were 12 #3 seeds to win and 2 #4 seeds to win tonight. Like I said if only 1 #4 seed wins each year then it is worth having 6 classes in my opinion based on what I think is best for kids who love to play football. We got beat tonight 34-6 and I believe it was a very competitive football game I am not sure of the stats but I know there was some good hitting going on and some very big sloberknocker type hits from time to time. If you asked our players who were #4 seeded if they would have rather not played our game they would call you crazy for asking. no one likes to lose but the kids across this state loves to play football. Keep the six classes and let the kids play!

I get what you are saying, and it has legit merit. But two #4's winning still does not justify having 0-10, and 1-9 teams playing. Look at the blowouts and it's just not justified. You could take a team like the 5-5 Campbell County and put them into the mix in 6A as a #5 seed and they would legitimaly could beat a #1 seed. Take a 0-10 team, no way. The arugument of letting more teams play is OK, just make it the right teams. A 0-1 team that makes it because there were only 4 teams in the District, versus a good #5 in a six team district that doesn't make it does not seem like such a great idea. But, it's not going to change, right:thumb:

I will probably do a breakdown of scoring margins tomorrow if somebody doesn't beat me to it. That may show a bit more as far as blowouts and average scores are concerned. No matter how many ways you split the pie, the cream will rise to the top. Top programs will be top programs, and six classes only waters it down.
