Harlan County 69 Grayson County, VA 20

Featured Replies

Harlan County played pretty good, they just took part of their team for the 4 hour trip. Some notes:

1. The trip was long, but it was beautiful. The day was absolutely gorgeous and the scenery all the way down to Virigina was awesome. The foliage was amazing.

2. Grayson County had three runningbacks that were awfully fast, they just couldn't get outside of the Bear defense. They have the making of a pretty good team, lots of athletes but lack an offensive/defensive line.

3. HC scored on every possession they had.

4. The stadium was very nostalgic, but in poor condition.

5. The players and fans of Grayson County was very courteous. After the game the 30-40 fans that were able to make it to the game from Harlan County found themselves treated to cookies that some of their parents had made for the Blackbears.

6. That area of Virginia must be the Christmas Tree capitol of the world, they had tree farms that could've supplied every Wal-Mart on the Eastern coast.

7. Bears continue to improve and show that they can win the games they were supposed to in a dominant fashion.

8. Lots of participation and scoring from a lot of different people. Gilliam looked good as usual and the mix of Green adding a ton of carries, that backfield looked super scary. Green ran over, or should I say plowed over about 10 players all night. They were running backward attempting to tackle him.

9. The Bears showed they can score in the air also connecting on ther first 3 touchdowns through the air on long pass plays.

10. With the team being healthy, I look forward to an excellent playoff showing because that backfield is going places with the mixture of athletes they have back there.

Good luck HC
