Trigg County maintained a 2-touchdown lead throughout most of the second half. Brandon Bridges rushed for 194 yards on two carries for Trigg. Caldwell County QB Will Barnes threw for 277 yards and 3 TDs on 18-of-26 passing. Three turnovers hurt Caldwell.

That sets up the playoffs as:

(1) Trigg County vs. (4) Todd County

(2) Murray vs. (3) Hancock County

(3) Caldwell County at (2) Owensboro Catholic

(4) Heath at (1) Fort Campbell.

God bless Heath's soul

Also of note is that the two district champs play each other this week in the regular season.

I feel bad for Murray, they have to travel like 4 hours in the first round. At least gas prices went down though.

Hancock County has to travel to Murray.

The margin of this one surprised me given Caldwell's ability to contain Trigg's offense in recent years. At least Tiger fans will get to enjoy some good barbeque before their first round playoff game.

My mistake. Ok, I feel bad for Hancock Co. Should be a good game though.

Hancock's drive to Murray will almost take as long as their first drive against Fort Campbell two weeks ago
