Best District in 6A

Featured Replies

We are more than half way through the regular season. It is obvious to most that T and X have seperated themselves from the rest of the teams in 6A. With this being said, who plays in the toughest district from top to bottom? Thoughts?

I think it's District 5. Obviously Trinity is outstanding. Ballard has shown themselves to be, perhaps, a top 5 team in 6A. And Eastern and Seneca aren't teams anyone wants to play.

District 3, with St. Xavier, Manual and PRP is very good. A pretty poor Butler team is the only thing bringing down that district.

District 4 has two good teams (Male/Fern Creek) and two improved teams (Bullitt Central/Southern). District 8 has three nice teams (Madison Central/Scott County/Clark County), but one really confusing winless team in Shelby County.

District 6 in northern Kentucky seems competitive, but outside of Boone County I don't see many teams that I would say are "really good." And Lexington seems really down this year.

For purely competitive reasons, District 1 (western Kentucky) and District 2 (I-65) seem interesting. I honestly think any team in both districts can beat any other teams. But it's possible no teams from either district win a playoff game.
