I don't think he is contradicting himself. I mean yeah Coach Hornsby was on the staff last year, however the way he runs the team this year and even the stuff they run. Are way different than they have done things in the past few years. As I have said before though, I am not in agreement though with him about the program going down while under Borchers. Because I played for Borchers and he is a great coach IMO. The thing is though is with Ludlow, you really need to be a people person and know how to communicate and deal with people in the community. Coach Borchers from what I have gathered was not the best at dealing with the community. Which is a big part of things when you coach at Ludlow. Which I am not saying is a bad or a good thing. Every coach has their own way that they do things, and that was his way. Just his way didnt fit best with the community, so it was best for both to part ways. Coach Borchers IMO is going to do a great job at Cooper, and it should be a much better fit. While now Coach Hornsby seems to be a much better person at dealing with the community, and just be open with them. Also since he has taken over things with the youth program has improved and has a better relationship now, which is a big thing for Ludlow.

 

So as I said he really wan't contradicting himself at all. Even though Hornsby was on the staff last year, things are a lot different now at Ludlow with how things are done. Both coaches are great coaches IMO though.

That was very well said!! Thanks for the response!!!:thumb: It is good to know that Coach Hornsby coaches to his style. Which I wouldn't doubt knowing the experiences he has as a coach. He wouldn't be anyone but himself, & I also think that is why he will be successful.
