I have seen an occasional response to someone in the stands; but the i-pod thing is new to me. Is this commonplace at other schools? I never played or coached, but my dad was a HS coach back in the 60's. I can't imagine that anyone not paying attention to the game would be long for his team.

 

Kids are more worried about being cool and not representing their school pride! I've seen it where injured starters sit in the stands, listen to Ipods. Last night I witnessed two players listening to Ipods while warming up for the 2nd half! I would think giving up a hail mary touchdown at the horn would be enough motivation...:confused:
