October 15, 200817 yr OK, so I'm in college and my parents want me to get a job at Kroger's or somewhere. I was thinking about the idea of working for Cha Cha on the internet. Though, I know what the pay is at the local resturants, I don't know how much I would get paid there. What do you guys think? Get a local job or apply at Cha Cha.:confused: My son worked at Kroger all through high school. He'd probably still be working there if there were a Kroger in his college town. He started at 15 as a bag boy, was "promoted" to cashier, then promoted to Customer Service, then to Customer Service Supervisor when he was 17. Then, he moved over and worked in the Pharmacy until he left for college. After his freshman year @ UE they asked him to work the summers there, but had to have surgery, so he couldn't. Restaurants are tough business to make money in....and right now people are cutting back on their eating out. Also, if you need to know what you make each week, serving makes that hard. Working for tips is up and down.
