Can a district be any closer?

I think back 2 years ago, when coaches from other Districts were making fun of this District, but all 4 teams are strong.

I can not wait for 2 more weeks when Spencer @ Henry face off, as well as WH and North.

 

WH #11 Curry, is the difference and maybe the District's best.

Can someone tell me if he is getting looked at. I know that he is only a Jr.

 

North is good in all areas of the game, including special teams.

Henry has the depth.

Spencer has the players to beat anyone.

Curry is being actively recruited by several D-I schools. He has the size (6'6" and 230 lbs), arm strength and speed to be a D-I player. Also plays DE and long snaps. Showed GREAT leadership against Henry County and played his best game to date.

I am glad that he saved his best game for us.:cry:

North has executed well in all phases of the game with the exception of the Kickoff team. Thats no small matter since running back a kick is HUGE momentum swing especially if it happens to you when you are on the road.

 

The Henry Game was a HUGE emotional win for NOHS and proved to the team that the could beat a legitimate State Championship contender. If these four teams dont beat each other up before the playoffs I would not be surprised to see two of these teams in the Regional finals. Its a very tough match up with Central and ETOWN matching up with this bunch but I think its very possible.

 

North plays with great focus and execution. Maddox is a clutch qb and can beat you with his arm and his legs. Gears has great hands, Alward can run, and Tuller what can you say. He runs the kickoff back for a TD last night at a CRUCIAL point and puts us up with a few minutes left. This is after Spencer gained the momentum after the had just taken the lead. Tuller also open field tackled Kollemberg last week in the last minute of the game when he broke from and was running for the game winning score (less than one minute remaining)

 

These Seniors were 0-10 as Sophmores but played the toughest schedule in the state that year (Frankfort, Danville, Mercer,Bethleham, Unbelievebale scheudule. This team is a product of the Martin Chappal Braintrust.

 

These kids demonstrate character, poise, and strength. These are all traits instilled by the coaching staff. North has a great bunch of parents and they have followed these kids all the way from when they were 0 and 10.

 

No more One Year Wonder talk any more. This is the beginning of a Mustang tradition that could run for years. As long as Martin is at the helm of NOHS they have a chance to build tradition
