Jim Schue Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 The streak continues, but the Commanders put a scare to the Tigers. WC took the lead at 45-42 with about four minutes and change, but Ricky Harper returned the ensuing kickoff 87 yards to retake the lead. On the kickoff, WC had trouble controlling it, putting them deep in their own territory. The Tiger defense sacks Joe Joe Simms near the goal line, and rather than risk a punt block, WC took the safety. They tried to get the onside kick, but Bardstown recovered, and scored a few plays later to set the final margin. I just caught the end on the radio, so no stats. Tigers improve to 1-4, and 1-0 in the district. WC drops to 1-4, 0-1.
Hearsay Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Washington dropped plus 40 on Green County, too, they are a talented team, hats off to Mark Perry. Good job, Tigers.
tiger8 Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Were are the Washington County fans that said Bardstown would lose this one some say by 10 or more. Good job Bardstown and continue to improve.

Good job Bardstown and continue to improve. I'm only aware of one Washington Co. person being on this board. It seems the rest of them can't get away from that awful wild west board, which shall go unnamed.
