Take away three or four big plays and it's a tie game. No one dominated any one. I think Lincoln County eager to prove a few people wrong shocked a bunch of overconfident egos in the first half. Then when the second half started the Warriors finally took to the field. If Lincoln County had any receivers that could hold onto the passes, they would have racked up several points. Their quarterback was on target enough and receivers open enough. It just seemed Southwestern played a lot more defense than offense. Kidd seemed to have a great game on defense for Southwestern. It wasn't the same Southwestern team that played Mercer last week. Let's hope that bunch will be at the Dunbar game.
LCPATS Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Lincoln was leading 6-0 with about a minute to go in the second half. SW scored a td to go up 7-6 at the half. LC fumbled the snap on a punt to start the 3rd quarter, and never recovered. The team really started to struggle when Marcum got hurt. Depth is killing them, a 5a team dressing 30 players?? Not developing a program through freshman and JV ball has caught up to LC. The past few season they had enough talent to get by. Now they don't.
