The Cardinal offensive line was the story of this game. Several extended drives of 5-6 first downs apiece, keeping Central's defense playing off its heels and holding its sides. Big improvement over last week.

Nelson Co. goes to 1-0 in 6AD2, 2-1 overall. CH is 1-2, 0-1.

Nelson Co. played good in all areas of the game.

Soph Quentin Brooks was 28-112 and a TD. Jordan Keene had 70+ as well, and Alex Downs did some nice running as well, with about 60 yards and a TD. All of NC's 255 yards came on the ground, and they dominated the time of possession. Nelson's defense held CH to 34 rushing yards (227 total).

So far, 6AD2 looks like this:

NC 1-0

G'wood 1-0

NH 0-0

CH 0-1

MC 0-1
