Notre Dame plays Highlands Saturday evening at 7:30 at Xavier University. This should be a great soccer match between the 2 teams that are tied for the top ranking in Northern Kentucky.

I was surprised to hear how young some of the NDA players are this year at the varsity level. I guess its due to injuries?

I don't think NDA is really that young. I believe three freshmen and two sophomores are playing varsity. The rest of the roster is made up of upper classmen.

It is always a great match and tomorrow will be no different! Should be a great turnout at a great venue.

I'm no expert on NDA soccer history but I don't eve remember 3 freshmen on the varsity.

Actually, against Simon Kenton on Wednesday, two more Frosh got the call up to get some varsity time. That makes 5 total and at one point in the game 4 freshmen were on the field against the pioneers!

 

There are also about 10 other freshmen on the JV team that would not hurt the varsity if they are called up at some point this season.
