Final.

Defense? We don't need no stinking Defense! :irked:

Penalties? Double digits for both teams.

More later.

Is LCA's defense suspect, or was Campbellsville offense that high powered?

I was keeping up with the updates and it certainly was a wild one. Seemed that C-Ville had some fire power but LCA is just loaded with athletes.

Congrats to the fighting Bluto's on the W ... (j/k of course, congrats to the LCA Eagles)

Sounds like Campbellsville is really good as well.

Good luck to both the rest of the way. Well, except for LCA on Sept. 26th. of course :thumb:

Congrats to the "fighting Bluto's" on the W

OK, there were a lot good things, and a lot of bad things.

LCA good news

---The offense is already in gear. We've replaced the 2 receivers that we lost, and the 2 linemen.

---Hayden ran for 187 yds. on 27 carries

---Witt threw for about 260 yds.

---The offense was balanced: 210 rushing/260 passing.

---One Cville TD came when Drew Walls tried to make the interception, and it went through his hands. Drew will make those plays more often than not.

---On some type of Flair-out pass, tackle Zach West made a CRUSHING block on some poor guy. It was L O U D!

---Sr. Tyler Townsend played his first football game since he was a freshman, and he was everywhere. A very pleasant surprise.

Campbellsville good news

---Their rushing game is outstanding. They had over 370 yards on the ground.

---Downs, McCubbin and Altman are TOUGH, and very hard to bring down.

---They didn't quit.

---The fans are great!

Bad news for both teams

---Penalties, penalties, penalties: double digits for both.

Congratulation to LCA, and looks like they are off to a good start.

Also, good luck to Campbellsville, I think they will definitely win many games.

Is LCA's defense suspect, or was Campbellsville offense that high powered?

Could be both.

Could be both.

I will be preying for both.

LCA's Tyler Townsend, a senior receiver and safety, was named most valuable player for the winners.

Townsend had two catches for 63 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown. He was credited with five tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery.

"I wish we could have received a team award," Townsend said. "There wasn't any certain MVP out there. Everybody came together."

Tyler is a great addition, and I hope every player has that "team mindset".

How did Aaron QB for C-ville do? I saw he had 3 TD passes. And is a Junior.
