Can someone please tell me how Scott did in their first scrimmage against Lloyd I was unable to attend and haven't heard much about the scrimmage.

I did hear the Freshman team looked good under their new coach.

I heard that numbers are an issue again this year at Scott. One parent told me they would not field a JV team this year. Is this true? I sure hope not, it is tough build a program with out a fielding teams at Frosh and JV.

 

My understanding is that the Frosh numbers are good, and that they should have a pretty strong team. I hope that their is enough for JV as well.

Lloyd won 4tds to 1td. Lloyd has a great coaching staff and will get the most out of their guys. Don't be disheartened with this loss. Good luck this season.

Scott may have lost the scrimmage but I was very impressed with the way thier offense looked. The D really didnt look bad they just got beat deep a few times. I look for Scott to do some good things this year. Also I think they have enough to field a JV team so that really shouldn't be an issue. Good Luck Eagles.

I am a Lloyd guy but I did like the Eagle offense.

I heard the Eagles are running the Highlands offense especially alot of misdirection plays.

Scott probably will not be able to throw the ball this year as much as last so this offense might be good for the Eagles. I hope they run the Reyes kid out of the back field with his speed and cutting ability he could be real dangerous in that position especially if the Brunner kid is the full back to clear the way for Reyes.

I did not catch any names but they ran alot of motion and misdirection.

The offense didn't look bad at all.

Reyes is the best athlete on the team I think but they need to get the ball to #25 Sowder as well he can run the ball and make great cuts. He is also going to be the backup QB it looks like. So he may come in a few plays and run the ball out of the QB slot.

Sowder is not as fast as everyone thinks he is. Sometimes he does make good cuts and gets loose but I would bet as far as speed there are lots of people on the Eagles team that are faster. Quarterback and receiving will hurt the Eagles this year. Keep it on the ground with Reyes and Brunner and things will happen.

:thumb:, Bruner runs as hard as Forrestor from last year, but with a lot more speed.

I agree he might not be as fast but he makes people miss takles and he is a real good running back. I think they will get him the ball a lot but Reyes is the play maker.
