mr wong
I heard they played 3 varsity starters while 5 or 6 jv players did not get in the game. I was not there but was told this. Can anyone clear this up.
RamFan
Yes, two of the varsity starters are pitchers for jv and has played jv all year. One is a sixth grader and the other one is a seventh grader. The other varsity player is a sophmore and plays second base. From what I understand she played outfield and was there just to get time at the plate, she has struggled with the bat lately and I am told that she was not a factor in the win, had one base hit. oldrambler
Congrats to the Young Lady Rams on the "W" over Russell. :thumb: Racelands girls softball hs now become like the Girls Basketball. Raceland now has a Program and not just a team and "maybe" a good team every few years. Players are developed at a younger age with more emphasis put on the Girls sports. Both the girls Basketball and Softball are very well coached and with a "Program" now in place it certainly has shown.
