Cumberland 59 Middlesboro 53

I apologize for not putting the score and correct format in this thread. I haven't been able to find the official score but was told Cumberland won 59-55 or something along those lines. Feel free to change the topic title or start a new thread when the score is reported officially. I just figured some folks may want to know.

Did Hogue play tonight for Cumberland?

Another wasted year with very good talent for Middlesboro. Did they even finish above .500 for the season?

I think the final was 59-53 Cumberland, so not too bad off. :thumb:

I agree, and you could argue the point that Middlesboro 1 through 5 was as athletic as anyone in the region.

Tough to see the season end for the Jackets but I was pulling for Cumberland. You cannot deny that Middlesboro is a fine team. They've played the two best teams in the region in my opinion (Corbin and Cumberland) right down to the wire. They have a lot of young talent so I think they will be a team to look out for next season.

Does Brooks look to be back for the finals or in region? I read where he may be done for the year. I hope that is not the case.

I have heard that he has a strained MCL, not sure if he can play with that. That sounds like a 2-4 week recovery to me, but I could be wrong.

Ive sprained my MCL and was able to continue on it within a weeks time tops. I think it all depends on the severity of it and if it got into deeper stuff. X Ray would probably show the strain but a scan would tell if there was anything else damaged. IF he has had a scan and that's all that is wrong, he should be fine.

I heard last night that Brooks will not play in the District Finals tomorrow night, but will be ready next week for the regional tournament.
