Great game for the Camels. Up 11 going into the 4th, found themselves down 3 late in the game but found a way to win. Kristin White with 15 points and 10 steals. Katie Kitchen with 10 pts. (I think). CCHS will play the winner of Brossart/Calvary on Friday for the District Championship.

Great job Camels! You had me worried but you pulled it out in the end. Good game for Kristin (j.j.) !!

First quarter started with a lot of missed shots. I mean a lot. The score was just 2-0 half way through the period. Missed gimmes, set shots, you name it. Campbell County went to a zone and got a couple of baskets off of turnovers extending the scoreless lead to 8-0 with two minutes to go in the opening period. That was the score after the quarter ended, Campbell County up, 8-0.

 

Scott came out firing to start out the second quarter dropping 5 points in the first 30 seconds. Campbell County would score their first basket on a Katie Kitchen stick back with two minutes gone. Scott would get within 2 points of tying the game up, most of those points coming from Kiki Brown who added 7 points in the quarter. Campbell County went into the locker room at halftime after pushing the lead back up to 7, 23-16.

 

Campbell County came out smoking after halftime, outscoring Scott 15-7 and pushing the lead to 15 with 3 minutes to go in the quarter. Scott came back, led by Lauren Tibbs 8 points in the quarter, but found themselves down 11 going into the final quarter, 40-29.

 

Scott cut what was a 15 point lead to 3 with six minutes left in the game while going on a 8-0 run. Paige Bowling broke the scoring drought with a made free throw with 4:35 to go. Shelbi Benzinger tied the game with 2:38 to go by draining a three pointer and Lauren Tibbs gave the Lady Eagles the lead with a bucket in the lane at the 2:08 mark. Kristen White hit a layup with under a minute to go to give Campbell County the lead back. Two made free throws by Brianna Peters extended the Lady Camel lead to 3 with :40 seconds left. A free throw by Lauren Tibbs made it a 2 point game with 19 seconds to go. 2 points would remain the difference as the Campbell County Lady Camels defeated the Scott Lady Eagles, 49-47

Once again, Scott comes out on the losing end of this one. Nice team work by Campbell County. It has been a long year for the Lady Eagles. Best of luck to the 4 seniors from Scott. Definitely a nice game played by Kiki Brown. What a nice way to end your last year. I am sure this is not how your wanted it to end.
