Owensboro Catholic used to sell gambling cards. They were either $20 or $25 and you could win money off of various NFL games if your teams had the highest (or lowest) point totals. I know my family enjoyed them and the school made plenty of money from them. We even won a time or two, too!

Scott has a annual wiffle ball touranment where every player on the team, Freshman thru Varsity, Get a team of five and play a long weekend tourney. Its a lot on the coaches, Some years games went till 3 in the mourning , and started at 9 the next mourning. But its teams of 5 with players paying 10 bucks to make a total of 50 per team. Its held in the gym and is a heck of a time, best part is all the money goes directly to the baseball team.

Our boosters cleared about $16,000.00 last year on our golf outing

There is a company is Burlington that sells jars of salsa (it is darn good) and will customize the label on the jar to include your team logo, name, information - anything you want really. The jars cost $2.50 (at least a few years ago) and we sold them for $5.00. $5 is not too much to ask anyone to spend and even if you didn't eat the salsa, the jar was a nice display item. I still have a jar from the last year we did this sitting in my home office. But honestly, the salsa is outrageously good. Put a little (or alot) on scrambled eggs - delicious! :ylsuper:
