Another senior night as this time it’s the St. Henry Lady Crusaders who take center stage to recognize their senior athletes. My first game in a St. Henry gym since I graduated from Dixie Highway in 1983. The Bellevue Lady Tigers have their final regular season game tonight as they come to Erlanger to face the Lady “Cru.” Bellevue is without the services of Caitlyn Haynes who is injured.

Bellevue got the scoring underway first with a nice three pointer from Alyse Scater, but the Lady Crusaders came back on a 8-2 run halfway through the quarter to take a 10-5 lead. Increased pressure led to turnovers which led to points for St. Henry as the Lady Crusaders jumped out to a 20-12 lead after the first quarter.

Becky Geiger lit the goal up for 8 points on a couple of three pointers and another basket as the St. Henry lead quickly went to 15 with 4:30 to go in the half. That quickly went to 22 as St. Henry continued to rain three point shots with just under 3 minutes to go. Bellevue would cut the lead to 19 as the half ended 43-22.

Turnovers on both sides of the ball kept both teams from pulling away in the 3rd quarter. St. Henry would add to the lead with a couple of buckets from Abby Jantzen and 4 made free throws as the Lady Crusaders held Bellevue to 5 points in the quarter to take a 59-27 lead into the final eight minutes.

The lead was pushed to 35 with 2:04 to go and it was just a matter of time. St. Henry would go to 9-14 with the 75-36 win. Bellevue goes to 14-12 with the defeat.

Congratulations to the Crusaders but I got to know did Coach Smith of Bellevue lead the cheering for the Tigers. Win or lose her antics are worth the price of admission,

Congratulations to the Crusaders!

Not so bad tonight!!! She is the Lady Tigers Head Cheerleader!!!! Nothing wrong with that at all!!!:thumb:

What is wrong with Haynes? I know she has had 2 ACL injuries. I hate to hear this so late in the season during her sr. year.

:thumb:Oh I agree but there are times that all she does is cheer and doesn't seem to have much of a game plan..Instead of a board and a marker sometimes all she needs is a set of pom poms..
