First off If mason is hosting a regional tourney in 2009 they dont just have a whole lot of work to do on the field, they have to re-do almost everything which is a whole BOAT LOAD of work to get done. I am suprised they aerated it at all, they do a nice job of growing the prettiest dandylions though.

 

As for Dixie's field, I have not been on it yet, but this past fall they were watering it whenever I drove past and honestly looks like there is some great potential there for a nice field. I think it should be ready to play on this year, as in the fall it looked as if it was in playing shape already.

 

I was very shocked when they did it as well. And they do have lovely dandylions. They are the most beautiful things anyone has seen. :lol: I have been out there picking them before a game plenty of times. They can't spray weed killing because that is all the field is.

Has anyone been to Bourbon Co.'s field? Are they finished with all the work on it? I know they did a lot and last time I saw it, it looked nice.

Anyone knows how Dixie's new baseball field is coming along? Didn't use it last year because the grass didn't get sodded/seeded in time, so just wondering how it's doing. I assume the infield was sodded and outfield seeded?

 

No sod, just seed I believe. Coach Maxwell was very unhappy about the situation last year. They kept delaying the process to the point that it was obvious that it wasn't going to be playable, then they had to hurry to get Turkeyfoot ready, since they originally weren't planning on playing there. The last couple times I drove by, it was snow covered, but back during the football season, it wasn't looking very good.
