Thanks for a little support there for the Skins HDE. Seems like every time they stumble the least bit everyone wants to discard them as not being a legitimate contender. Those that choose to believe that may be in for a rude awakening come tournament time

Skins road to Rupp got a bit rockier with the loss to Bell. The district seed will determine alot of things for the Skins. Mboro, Cawood both could upset anyone on a given night.

That does improve Lynn Camp's chances. I was planning on lots of free food at the regional, but it could go either way now.

Look at it this way, If the Wildcats win I bet Coach Pennington will be more than happy to treat you to a tray of Nachos and a Pepsi from the concession stand after the game.

 

We could have a big BGP member rally one nite at the KFC buffet or perhaps Hillbilly's one night before the games of the regional. Both of those establishments are close to the gym. It will be a tight fit at Knox Central for the boys games. I hope they have some of Knox Counties finest out there directing traffic. If not it might take hours to get out of the parking lot after the game. I am also certain they will have to have split sessions and clear the gym between games in order to meet the huge crowds.

Actually Bubba, it really doesnt change things a bit because it was going to come down to a coin toss for the 3 and 4 seed anyway between Cawood and Middlesboro. Now, there will be two coin tosses for 1st and 2nd and 3rd and 4th, so any way you would have sliced it, it was going to come down to a coin toss to determine who they would be matched up against in a semifinal game, only diffwerence is now there will be two coin tosses.

I thought if they had beaten Bell then they were the 1 seed. Thus playing the winner of the 4 and 5 game......I did not realize Cawood and Mboro were in a toss situation as well. Who would give the Skins the better game Mboro or Cawood? Where is that district been held this year. If Bell gets the Number one then they should coast into the finals.

Bubba, Cawood and Middlesboro are both solid teams and regardless of which team gets the one seed they wont know if they will be matched up with until the coin toss is done for the 3/4 seeds. So I dont understand what you mean by saying if Bell gets the one seed they should coast in?

Bell is playing good basketball at the moment and seems to have a domination over Middlesboro and Cawood. Cumberland seems to have struggled more with both teams this season. It would be strange to have no Harlan County team in the 13th region tournament...if indeed say Bell and Mboro came out of the 51st this year....when all is said and done. I look for Cumberland and either Bell or Mboro to be the two teams representing the 51st.

I don't know about domination. Bell has won the last couple of years over Cawood, but Cawood had won four or five in a row over Bell before that. Cawood was ahead of Bell at halftime at Bell, but Bell did take over in the second half.

I cant really agree you with completely on that Bubba, Bell has not dominated either of those teams and Cumberland was in control of the Bell game fairly well until their point guard got his 3rd fould early in the 3rd quarter on an offensive foul away from the ball and in his absence in that quarter committed 8 of their 14 turnovers and let them back in the game, then the rest is well documented. All of this with Garfield Wilson sitting with an injured toe!

Hey Bubba and HDE, do you guys agree that a big district showdown in our region should be treated no differently by officials than a big game in the sweet 16

None of the teams you listed will represent the 51st. Pineville and Knox Central will. I think your talking about the 52nd.
