I believe that Faulkner and Coach Robinson were teammates at Williamsburg, that would make a nice coaching combo for the Jackets. Especially if some of the young talent tagged along to boot.

 

 

Why would he want to leave where he is at....the talant is already there and he is already working with it, plus he is working for one of the largest employeers in the county, with more resources.

 

I know the obvious answers, but I would think there would be other considerations too.

 

A lateral move to a smaller school with less pay? No, I think he is going to stay where he is at or move to head coaching job someday.

Coach Fualkner is doing a great job with the young Colonels and is liked by the parents and adminstration. He and Coach Baker get along well and they both have the same goals for the program, and on the right path.

I noticed it was only Coach Baker and Coach Faulkner this season. Coach Deaton had three or more assistants during his brief tenure. It is proof that bigger is not always better. These two guys have done a super job, I agree with you Apex.

what heppened at the game I heard one of corbins coaches got kicked out or got into it with somebody?

 

I was at the game and nothing at all like that happened. I am not sure why that was said. :confused:

What happened was...when Corbin's Josh Smith fell to the floor hard and was shaken up on play, one of Whitley's female fans (player's mother) heckled Smith.

 

When Coach P went out on the floor to check on Smith, he looked at her and she made a gesture back to him in poor taste. We know that all Whitley fans does not condone this show of classless behavior.

Whitley was without the services of LeBanion. Not sure why or how long he will be out. I heard for a couple of weeks. That had a huge effect on the final margin of victory for the Hounds. Seemed like Corbin got every loose ball and went to the offensive boards much harder in the second half. Josh Crawford had a monster 3rd quarter with about 6 assists during the big run for the Hounds. Whitley played very physical, lots of handchecking and IMO a few more fouls could have been called, especially off the ball. Whitley won the JV contest by about 20 points though, so things are looking good for the Colonels in the future.

 

Don't even go there, are you trying to say that kids (WC) 175pds is pushing around kids that are 3 inches taller an 35-40 pounds heavier?!?!?!?!? You must be like me and only believe about 75% of what you say....:laugh:

 

Listen I would love to blame the refs for the loss but they were not a factor. Everyone knows and understands just how bad officiating is in the 13th region. That is life around here.
