This is somewhat of a surprise but I understand McFarland is out with a sprained ankle. How high is Daviess Co ranked in their Region?

I believe they are 10-4 now. Boone falls to 8-2. Boone Co. was up by 3 at half. McFarland would have made a 10-15 point difference in my opinion. Boone was outsized across the board and were outrebounded. Earls may have had 16, but several of Boone's points came from 3s (Gabbard 3, Popp 3, Flannery, Krohman). Think Popp had 21 and Gabbard 18 for Boone. Boone plays Beechwood this evening at 6:15.

Daviess Co. is a very good team from region 3, and will contend for their region's title. No surprise for me on this outcome.

It's not a suprise to anyone in the 3 region as Daviess is pretty good. Tall, atheletic, and a young team...only 2 seniors on the team. Alex Stivers (junior guard)led them last night with 24 pts, Taylor Grayson (junior) had 15 pts, and Hayden Simon (soph) had 14 points in the winning effort. Daviess is 10-4 on the year.....has also beat Owensboro earlier in the year who represented 3rd region last year at state and narrowly lost (by 4) to Apollo on the road. Another interesting fact is that Daviess has only played 1 home game out of 14 !!!! They have a big home stand in Jan.......:ylsuper:

Several players from Daviess Co. was playing pretty ill also. I am surprised they got to play much at all. It woulld have been nice to see DC team at full strength also.
