I just saw a wonderful interview on CNN of the coach and quarterback of the champion Fort Campbell High School Falcon football team. Quality people who make us proud. They revealed how the fact that dads of twelve of their players are in the war zone is always on their minds and affects their determination to do well. A very impressive story.

It’s amazing the press coverage this is getting. Although I knew winning the state championship would be big for the Fort Campbell community, I never thought it would end up in the national media. Great job Falcons, not only for winning the championship, but for giving a military community in the midst of a deployment something to be excited about. I only hope that it carries over to next season and they pack the stands for every game.
