They have the BEST band in the region IMO. Those kids get into it! They are seated directly behind the visitors' bench. Coaches usually have to take their team out to the free throw line so they can communicate during time outs.:thumb:

 

If some school has a better band at their home games, I would like to know about it.

 

The band does add to the atmoshere to the games.

 

I wish the Board office and the board would support the athletic department as much as they do for the band though. It is unbelievable what goes on there.

Mark does a great job with what he has. Too bad he doesn't have more resources. Maybe there's some players in the band.:fire:

 

Very few girls in the band that are on the team now. It is a whole lot easier to teach an athlete to play an instrument and march to the same spot than it is to teach someone to play the game of basketball. Just watching the band, there are very few girls who could suit up for the Lady Demons. There is a 8th grader in Susan Nortcutt thatcould develop into a nice player for them.

Congrats to Torie. We will make sure to relay this on the show Saturday morning.
